Will Meet in Fellowship Hall
Dear New City Family,
As you know, imminent repairs are needed to our church building. Work begins tomorrow and will result in some construction debris in the foyer and rear of the sanctuary. The structural engineer recommends that we not meet in the sanctuary for the next few weeks until a shoring company is able to design and install some vertical steel posts for temporary support.
The elders met last night for prayer and discussion and decided to move this Sunday morning's service to the fellowship hall. We will enjoy some closer fellowship together, but we believe it can work.
Sunday School for children and youth and the nursery and children's church will meet in their usual locations. The location for 9 AM adult classes will be as follows:
- Augustine for our Cultural Moment will meet in the Grace House Conference Room (2412 E. 4th Street).
- The class on Ezekiel will meet in the upstairs classroom by the music offices.
- A Praying Life class will meet in the Annex building (across the rear parking lot from the fellowship hall).
Please plan to join us again this Sunday as together we engage in the most important activity of our week: worship and praise to our God and the teaching / preaching of his word.
