Equip & Mobilize

Join the Evangelism Committee Oct 6: The Evangelism Committee needs your participation in our attempt to better equip and mobilize our congregation to share the good news of God's kingdom. Join us in praying earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. We will meet Sunday, October 6 in the Grace House Conference Room immediately after the service.

Hispanic Heritage Month Worship Services

As we celebrate what God has done and is doing through our Hispanic and Latino brothers and sisters in the faith, we will have two Sundays when we sing praise primarily in Spanish. We encourage you to use the YouTube playlist to renew your familiarity with these songs and to come to worship on these Sundays prepared to prefer others over ourselves and to appreciate the particular expression of faith and adoration that Latin culture brings to the bride of Christ.

Get Ready for Fall Festival

Mark your calendar for an evening of food, fun, and fellowship Sunday October 25 from 4-6 pm! We will have games, crafts, trick-or-treat booths, and more. Wear your favorite costume and invite your friends, family, and neighbors to our Fall Festival! And there's lots of opportunities to get involved. We are looking for adults, families, and small groups to sign up & man a Trick-or-Treat Booth. Sign up HERE. We are also looking for help with Food & Candy Donations, Set-up, Food Service, Games/Stations at the Festival, & Clean-up. Sign up HERE. For more information contact Percy Rolleston or Gianna Rakes.

Reformation Heritage Worship Conference October 23-25

Each year, Wayside Presbyterian Church (PCA) sets aside a weekend to focus on our Reformed heritage, stemming from the Protestant Reformation (and post-Reformation) of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The sessions presented are meant for every-day Christians, to encourage a love for God's Word, to foster an appreciation for those who have gone before us, and to cultivate a joy in God through the Lord Jesus Christ. This year, we are pleased to welcome speakers Fred Greco, Richard Phillips, Chris Larson, Derrick Brite, and Brian Cosby looking at the theme of "The Reformation of Worship."

Heidelberg Catechism #127

Q. What does your conclusion to this prayer mean?

A. For the kingdom and the power
and the glory are yours forever” means:

We have made all these petitions of you
because, as our all-powerful king,

you are both willing and able
to give us all that is good;1

and because your holy name,

and not we ourselves,

should receive all the praise, forever.2

1 Rom. 10:11-13; 2 Pet. 2:9
2 Ps. 115:1; John 14:13
