The Goodness of the Lord
Latoya Williams' Home Restored
On a week in May, our team of nine people worked with several Jamaican volunteers and two hired carpenters on the home of Ms. Latoya Williams that was severely damaged by Hurricane Melissa. We were able to complete the framing of her roof and a good portion of the zinc panels in the short time that we had.
We enjoyed another wonderful worship experience with our Jamican brothers and sisters in a combined service on the Lord's Day. A fourth sister church joined us on that Sunday for a standing room only service. Pastor Dennis brought his Cheltenham Baptist Church members to worship with Cataboo, Vineyard and Sellington Churches. We had seven pastors in attendance! It has been such a blessing to work with these faithful pastors and church leaders to bring hope and relief to some of the members of their communities.
Thank you for prayers and financial support to make this possible. We are making plans for a team to serve in the Black River area October 10-17. Please pray that the Lord will prompt and provide for the people he wants to join this team who will be blessed to be a blessing to others. "You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowhing in many thanksgivings to God." 2 Cor. 9:11-12.
Love to you in Christ,
Pastor Billy McKillop
