Back to School!
Good Morning Friends!
Praying this scripture over you all as most of you start school this week. May you all find the Lord to be near as you step into new and hard places, the good and beautiful ones at your schools, the joy and struggles of a new school year.
Psalm 16:5-11~
"Lord, you are my portion
and my cup of blessing;
you hold my future.
6 The boundary lines have fallen for me
in pleasant places;
indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.
7 I will bless the Lord who counsels me—
even at night when my thoughts trouble me.
8 I always let the Lord guide me.
Because he is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.
9 Therefore my heart is glad
and my whole being rejoices;
my body also rests securely.
10 For you will not abandon me to Sheol;
you will not allow your faithful one to see decay.
11 You reveal the path of life to me;
in your presence is abundant joy;
at your right hand are eternal pleasures."
August Dates:
- August 9th- Youth Group Talent Show! in the sanctuary from 6-8pm. Sign up ASAP if you have an individual act or group act of 1-3 minutes.
- August 16th & 23rd- No youth group meeting.
- August 30th- Prayer Champion Luncheon from 11:45 to 1:30pm. Come meet the adults who will be praying for you for the school year!

Fall Discipleship Groups will start Tuesday, September 8th with boys first from 6:30-8:30pm at the youth house. And girls the following week, September 15th, also from 6:30-8:30pm in the youth house. We'll alternate each week to the best of our ability and be sure to keep you updated on dates. Please reach out to the Youth Department about your child(ren)'s involvement! It is one of the greatest blessings of our jobs, and we hope many will grow to look and love more like Jesus through the power of the Spirit moving in these groups.
